Geothermal Heating and Cooling for Your Home

ClimateMaster geothermal heating and cooling systems are designed to improve your quality of life by providing superior comfort, lower energy bills, and great indoor air quality, while reducing the impact on the earth.

Heating Your Home with Geothermal

When it’s cold outside and you need to heat your home, ClimateMaster geothermal heating and cooling systems absorb heat stored in the ground through water that circulates in its underground loop. The heat is carried to the geothermal heat pump where it’s concentrated and distributed as warm, comfortable air throughout your home.

By contrast, traditional air source heat pumps absorb heat from the very cold outside air to heat your home. This means air source heat pumps have to work very hard to properly heat your home, using a lot of energy.

Geothermal systems use less energy as they easily absorb heat from the abundant supply stored below ground, making geothermal heating significantly more energy efficient.

In addition, gas furnaces burn natural gas to provide heat for your home and are only 98% efficient. Meanwhile, geothermal systems use far less energy by collecting heat from the earth, achieving 400-600% efficiencies.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) geothermal systems are,“the most energy-efficient, environmentally clean, and cost-effective space conditioning systems available today.”

Cooling Your Home with Geothermal

When it’s hot outside and you need to cool your home, ClimateMaster geothermal heating and cooling systems absorb the heat in your home and transfers it to the underground loop where that heat is then absorbed by the cooler earth. The geothermal heat pump uses the cool water returning from the earth to create cool, dehumidified air for your home.

By contrast, traditional air source heat pumps force the heat from your home into the already hot outside air. This means air source heat pumps have to use a lot of energy to properly cool your home.

Geothermal heat pumps use less energy as they very easily move heat into the cool earth, making geothermal cooling significantly more energy efficient.
