ClimateMaster Announces High Temperature Water-to-Water Heat Pump

OKLAHOMA CITY, November 12, 2007 – ClimateMaster announces a new line of high temperature water-to-water heat pumps with EarthPure® (HFC-410A) Zero Ozone Depletion refrigerant.  Beginning in 2010 U.S. manufacturers may no longer produce air conditioning equipment using refrigerant R-22.  HFC-410A is the industry-accepted alternative, although it requires a complete redesign of the refrigeration circuit.  ClimateMaster is in the process of converting all product lines to this new environmentally-friendly refrigerant.

ClimateMaster has led the industry in efficiency and features with its Tranquility series of water-to-air heat pumps since the product line introduction in 2004.  New compressor technology has provided the ability to generate leaving water temperatures of up to 145°F (63°C) even at ground loop minimum temperatures in the brand new Tranquility water-to-water heat pumps.  The scroll compressor operates at very high efficiencies, as well.   Unique Tranquility features such as double-isolated compressor mounting, discharge and suction mufflers, and fully insulated compressor section make it one of the quietest units on the market.  Standard features such as high temperature output, integrated controls, outdoor temperature reset, warm weather shutdown, and other unique features make the new heat pump an excellent candidate for natural gas, propane, or fuel oil boiler replacements.

ClimateMaster’s Tranquility High Temperature (THW) series of water-to-water heat pumps are available in sizes 8, 10 and 12kW in 50Hz voltages and size 10kW for 60Hz voltages (capacities at Ground Loop Heat Pump conditions) with ground loop efficiencies (COP) 25% higher than current units on the market.   Tranquility heat pumps are rated for Water Loop Heat Pump, Ground Loop Heat Pump and Ground Water Heat Pump applications.
