ClimateMaster Announces Large Capacity Water-to-Water Heat Pump
with Zero Ozone Depletion HFC-410A Refrigerant!

OKLAHOMA CITY, October 27, 2006 – ClimateMaster announces the availability of a new large capacity water-to-water heat pump with EarthPure® (HFC-410A) Zero Ozone Depletion refrigerant.  Beginning in 2010 U.S. manufacturers may no longer produce air conditioning equipment using refrigerant R-22.  HFC-410A is the industry-accepted alternative, although it requires a complete redesign of the refrigeration circuit.  ClimateMaster is in the process of converting all product lines to this new environmentally-friendly refrigerant.

The Tranquility series model TMW100 water-to-water heat pump is available in 28 ton (100 kW) capacity.  It can be used for radiant floor heating, snow/ice melt, chilled water, industrial process control, potable hot water generation, hot/chilled water for make-up air, and many other types of HVAC and industrial applications. The exclusive single side service access (front of unit) and staggered, top-mounted water connections allow multiple units to be installed side-by-side for large capacity installations. An innovative heat exchanger allows large capacity output in a compact design.   

Benefits include lower sound levels, environmentally-friendly operation, application flexibility, ease of installation/service, small space requirements, and high capacity even at ground loop operation. EarthPure® (HFC-410A) zero ozone depletion refrigerant, coaxial heat exchangers, microprocessor controls, staggered top water connections, and extended range water/refrigerant circuits are all standard features.
