ClimateMaster, Habitat for Humanity Team Up for Build Blitz

For Immediate Release

ClimateMaster, Habitat for Humanity Team Up for Build Blitz;

Oklahoma City Company to Donate Geothermal Heat Pumps

Oklahoma City, OK, May 10, 2006 – Oklahoma City-based ClimateMaster, the world’s largest manufacturer of water source and geothermal heat pump systems, has partnered with Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity for Habitat’s nationwide Build Blitz June 5-9.  The Central Oklahoma Habitat chapter is building ten homes in Spencer as part of a national effort to build 1,000 Habitat homes during the week across the United States.

ClimateMaster is donating and installing its energy savings geothermal heat pumps in each of the ten homes.  Geothermal units use the earth as a natural energy source to cool and heat structures. Geothermal systems connect the unit inside a home or building with the earth by way of a durable, high-density plastic pipe buried in either vertical boreholes or horizontal trenches.   The result is a long-lasting, low maintenance, high-comfort, low-noise level system.

“ClimateMaster and our over 450 employees are pleased to join with Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity during the 2006 Build Blitz and we’re looking forward to the owners of these ten homes enjoying the comfort and utility savings their geothermal units will provide,” said Dan Ellis, ClimateMaster President.  “Central Oklahoma Habitat is an organization that does so much good and it’s an honor for ClimateMaster to be associated with them and to play a role in the Build Blitz.”

“Without support from the corporate community and companies like ClimateMaster, Habitat’s mission would be greatly hindered,” said Ann Felton, Chairman of Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity.  “ClimateMaster has stepped up to the plate in a big way and I’m very appreciative to them for their generosity and the active role they have taken in supporting this project.”

Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity is part of a worldwide, nonprofit, non-denominational Christian housing ministry which provides zero-interest mortgage loans to qualified hardworking limited income families.  “Our philosophy is a hand up, not a handout,” says Felton.  Habitat offers a true partnership arrangement by which families in the limited income ranges can attain their goal of home ownership.

Geothermal heating and cooling systems are environmentally friendly products that save energy by using the earth as a heat sink in the summer months and a heat reservoir in the winter via piping buried in the ground or installed in a pond.  The energy is transferred using water from the closed loop piping system into the unit and on through a uniquely designed heat exchanger.  For every one dollar spent to operate the geothermal heating and cooling system, the system provides approximately four dollars in return, back into the pockets of homeowners.

ClimateMaster, Inc. designs and manufactures water-source heat pumps for geothermal and water-source applications for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.  Headquartered in Oklahoma City, ClimateMaster is a subsidiary of LSB Industries, which is traded on the AMEX stock exchange under the symbol LXU.
