Climate Master presents an
immediate career opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain
fabricating machines and test equipment, install new equipment, and maintain
facility heat pumps. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
DUTIES:
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and
listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Performs service on HVAC equipment.
- Performs repairs, installation, and other
services on fabrication machinery and other equipment in the facility as
needed.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove
defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect
imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in
dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control
instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts
in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and
other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Repairs electrical equipment.
REQUIREMENTS: General mechanical ability. Knowledge of and experience using
basic hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of and experience using
measurement tools, such as a multimeter, pressure gauge, and tape measure. Basic electrical experience. Basic plumbing experience. Must work mandatory OT, including
weekends. HVAC experience preferred.
